GRC delivered with insight and integrity

History

The power of two = Integrc

Two of the world’s leading specialists in GRC, su53 and CSI, merged to become Integrc – the new word for GRC in business.

Integrc exists to help organisations using SAP to make best use of IT and the latest security and controls thinking to manage risks better, optimise process compliance, and reduce security and control operating costs.

Integrc has an impressive pedigree:

CSI

CSI was founded in the Netherlands in 1997 and focused on SAP and on audit, security and control. Early on, CSI’s attention and effort was put into making SAP customers aware of the importance of securing their integrated applications and helping them to manage security in their SAP environment.

After the Enron case and the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act in the US in 2002, the market changed. SOX and similar legislative acts in other countries made chief executives aware of the need for control and providing evidence of that control. At the time CSI developed market leading services and tools to help manage security and controls in an SAP environment, and for many years these dominated the market.

By 2007, the CSI software business was re-branded into CSI Tools and separated totally from CSI’s consulting business. From that moment onwards CSI consulting, who had built up a strong reputation, elected to focus increasingly on SAP’s rapidly strengthening GRC portfolio. By the time of the merger with su53, CSI Netherlands was entirely separate from CSI Tools, and had relinquished its status as an agent.

CSI has regional operations in the US (New York: founded 2002) and Asia Pacific (Singapore: founded 2005).

su53

su53, founded in the UK in 2006, was the brainchild of two visionaries who had been working in aspects of SAP Security for all of their working lives. They saw that security pressures were growing for large organisations. Pressure from auditors, customers, suppliers, the city and the community resulted in ever growing interest in transparency and business integrity – but there was scarce and unstructured availability of specialist help in these areas.

Both shared a drive to get organisations to manage security effectively and committed to setting up a specialist consultancy that would bring focus, innovation, and investment in this area.

Within three years su53 had established itself as the UK’s leading independent specialist for SAP security and controls, becoming SAP’s first accredited GRC Special Expertise Partner. In 2009 su53 set up its innovative Support Service Centre in Northern Ireland: su53 also has operating centres in London and Birmingham.
